The University of Texas at Austin’s Student Veteran Association (UT SVA) is an officially recognized student organization sponsored by the Dean of Students’ Student Veteran Services.  We are dedicated to serving the veteran community at the university.    

 

The SVA is dedicated to creating a welcoming social environment for the veteran communities on campus.  The SVA hosts a variety of events throughout the year, which include, but are not limited to:  

 

• Campus crawl (Biannually)

• Veterans Day football game tailgate (Annually)

• End of semester celebration (Biannually)

• Social happy hours (Biweekly)

Additionally, the SVA offers many programs that promote academic and professional success.  Weekly study group sessions, tutoring, and resource guidance help the student veteran community meet the academic rigors of The University of Texas at Austin.
